Reverend Amanda Bedzrah is the founder of Empower a Woman Ministries and the visionary behind Empower a Woman Africa (EWA) Foundations. She is a preacher, author, speaker, wife, mother, and missionary with a deep passion for the Word of God and the practice of everyday love.

Born in West Africa and now based in the UK, Amanda carries a personal understanding of brokenness and redemption. Her own journey through trauma, healing, and restoration fuels everything she does. She is not just a voice for change, she is a vessel of it. Her ministry is rooted in the gospel and lived out through compassion, truth, and unwavering faith.

In 2014, Amanda launched Empower a Woman Ministries to disciple women, equip leaders, and teach biblical truth with grace and power. But her heart for mission never left Africa. In 2023, she established EWA Foundations in Ghana to focus specifically on outreach across the continent, bringing dignity to children, hope to widows, care to orphans, and restoration to women behind prison walls.

Amanda lives and teaches by this guiding Scripture:

For her, ministry is not just a message, it’s a movement. It’s what we do with the gospel once we’ve received it. It’s how we treat the hurting, the forgotten, and the unseen.

She believes that practical love is the most powerful expression of faith. Whether preaching in a church, teaching in a school, or kneeling beside a woman in need, Amanda’s mission remains the same: to bring Jesus into every space through compassion, courage, and conviction.
